How to Remember Well

Assalamualaikum and peace to all,
Hi students,

I would like to share with you some of the lessons that I have learned from my training courses last week about memory.

Do you know,
We REMEMBER
10% of what We READ
20% of what We HEAR
30% of what We SEE
50% of what We SEE and HEAR
80% of what We SAY
90% of what We SAY and DO

So, as your final exam just around the corner, instead of  you just only read all the notes, try to write the answers for all the questions first. Then, say it , repeat it or discuss it back within your friends. So that, you will remember better. Believe that you will not only remember your lessons just for your exam but you will understand and remember them forever. InsyaAllah.

An old Latin proverb says:
repetitio est mater studiorum
(Repetition is the mother of learning.)

Best Wishes for your Exam.

This is Air Traffic Control

Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) roles is to maintain safe and efficient separation between the aircrafts. Safely is to avoid mid-air collision and efficiently is to avoid flight delay

How It All Works Together?

Step   1- Preflight: Pilot files the flight plan & send to the Tower controller. Tower inform pilot the weather information. Flight checks, push-back from the gate & taxi to the runway.

Step   2- Take-off: Tower controller gives pilot clearance for take-off, aircraft powers up & take-off.

Step 3- Departure: Aircraft climbs to a define altitude Tower controller pass their communication with pilot to the TRACON controller. Pilot receives clearance for routing.

Step 4- En-route: Air route controller instructing pilot to the specific altitude and heading.

Step 5- Descent: Near airport, TRACON controller instructing pilot to descent & change heading.

Step 6- Approach: Pilot receives approach clearance by TRACON controller & their communication with pilot is passed to the Tower Controller.

Step 7- Landing: Local controller gives clearance for landing. Ground controller directs the pilot across the taxiways to its destination gate at the terminal.

Do you know why aircraft need to be pressurized?

Pressurized means maintains a constant pressure even aircraft flying in high altitude.

Aircraft cabin has to be pressurized simply because at the high altitude (up to 40'000 ft), the air pressure is too low for people to be able to breath. Thus, pressurization is needed to enable passengers and crew to breathe normally.

Low air pressure during air travel also decreases the amount of oxygen in the air. If the blood has an inadequate supply of oxygen for the requirements of the tissues, this is called hypoxia. Hypoxia can cause personality changes, decision making more difficult, basic senses dulled, dizziness, unconsciousness and death will follow if oxygen lack continues.

Here is briefly how aircraft obtain its oxygen for it passenger during its long flight.

Let's watch the risk of flying without air pressurization-  No Oxygen Disaster.

Have you ever exposed to Flight Simulator

Fligth Simulators are just look like giant computer games. These machines are used mainly for training pilots to fly new types of aircraft and to practice flying skills, including what to do in an emergency. They are very popular as they save fuel costs and, of course, it is much safer to train on the ground than in the air. Scenes from real airports are projected on to a screen outside the cockpit window. This lets pilots take-offs and landing in 'real' conditions. For a realistic effect, aircraft sounds are fed through loudspeakers inside the simulator. In addition, a flight simulator has legs that move to tilt in all directions. While the simulator is actually fixed to the ground, it is capable of tilting. This feature lets the pilot inside feel as though he is flying through air.

Let's watch out!
